3rd Munich Symposium on Clinical Reasoning
October 22–23, 2026 ·
Munich, Germany
Advancing the science and practice of clinical reasoning in health sciences education.
Although clinical reasoning is at the heart of medical competence, how it develops, how it can be supported and how it should be assessed remain open questions.
The Munich Symposium on Clinical Reasoning brings together invited researchers and educators to review current developments and determine future directions. This third edition focuses on two converging themes: the use of simulation and virtual reality to create authentic reasoning environments, and the potential of digital tools and learning analytics to reveal and evaluate reasoning processes.
The symposium comprises keynote lectures, short talks and thematic workshops, and is designed to facilitate substantive exchange among a small group of international experts.
